Who's Terri?
 |
Terri Giuliano was born in Lansdale, PA. When she was fourteen, her family moved to Billerica, Massachusetts. Though she’s been inventing stories since she was a child, her writing career officially took off in high school, when her weekly column, “High School News,” was published in the town paper. In 1975, she married her high school sweetheart, Dave Long. Dave and Terri are the parents of four fabulous young women—Jen, Lib, Natalie and Kimmie—and two awesome young men, our son and soon-to-be son by marriage, Dave Lucchese and Chris Kanner. In December 2006, they’ll become the proud grandparents of Jen and Dave’s new baby. |
Terri has written news and feature articles for local and regional newspapers, including the Boston Globe, written and edited articles for business and technical journals, and written copy for marketing, advertising and public relations. Her stories and essays have appeared in newspapers, trade magazines and literary journals. She holds a BA in philosophy from Boston College, where she teaches college writing and creative nonfiction. In 1998, she received her MFA from Emerson College, where she had the good fortune to study under many gifted writers. She is particularly indebted to Jessica Treadway, Margot Livesey, Pamela Painter and Christopher Tilghman, without whom her novel would not have come into being.
In Leah’s Wake began as her master’s thesis.
